Our regular guests know that we're proud, unapologetic Trisha-Stalkers. The Trishas were an Austin-based all-woman Americana band that played together full-time for about five years before taking an extended band-break. They still get together occasionally and we still stalk them. Their website is still active, if you're curious.
Kelley Mickwee, along with MCC alum Jamie Lin WIlson, was one of the principal Trishas, sharing writing and lead-singing duties, and that's how we got to know Kelley's music around 12 years ago. Kelley is the soulful, Memphis blues-inspired singer/songwriter to Jamie's more country influence.
After the Trishas, Kelley toured on her own for awhile, then joined Shinyribs for a few years as a Shiny Soul Sister.
Kelley released her first solo CD awhile ago, and includes songs co-written with Kelley by friends Kevin Welch, Jimmy Davis, Owen Temple & others. She's been writing again and is now back out on her own, touring and getting ready to record a new record.
